Empire was founded in 1992 by Joseph John Fama, a former commissioner at the NYC Parking Violations Bureau, to assist commercial entities in their efforts to manage, resolve and reduce the financial impact of NYC parking violations. Since our inception Empire has processed and defended 4 million NYC parking violations saving our clients $200 million in fines by dismissals through the hearing process. We represent companies large and small that include package express companies, national beverage and food companies, national truck rental companies, public utilities, national trucking companies, construction and trade companies and many other industries. We have defended as many as 90,000 parking violations for a single entity in a single year obtaining $5.4 million in savings for that company in one year.
EMPIRE’S TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS
Empire employs a very stable staff of 25 professionals who have an average of 8.5 years experience at Empire. Our management personnel have varied backgrounds which include finance, Wall Street experience, customer service and manufacturing. Each bringing different skill sets to Empire enhancing our ability to understand and fulfill our clients’ needs.
Our hearing preparation unit is comprised of former NYC police officers that have a thorough understanding of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law and the NYC Traffic Regulations. This expertise enables Empire to prepare the best defense for each parking violation processed by Empire.
Our hearing representatives that appear before the judges at the NYC DOF Commercial Adjudications Unit have an average of 12 years experience and include former NYC administrative law judges that presided over parking ticket hearings prior to joining Empire’s team.
Empire also employs a significant staff of data processing professionals responsible for creating and maintaining all of the information and records for each client’s parking ticket database. The data processing professionals are the support structure of the operation providing the skills necessary for successful ticket defenses and providing the data and information to our clients.
Empire occupies a facility of 8,500 square feet on Staten Island which enables easy access to our clients located throughout the greater NY Metropolitan area and beyond including the five boroughs of NYC, New Jersey, Long Island, Pennsylvania, and the northern suburbs into Connecticut and Massachusetts.
